The standout young stallion The Darkk Side crossed the six-digit mark in lifetime earnings in Ardmore, Oklahoma April 27 and April 28, winning $3,437 in the Futurity Heading the first day, and $1,821 in the Futurity Heeling at the American Rope Horse Futurity Association's Oil Can Classic.

This makes The Darkk Side, piloted by Miles Baker in the heading and Jeremy Buhler in the heeling, the ONLY horse to win money in both the heading and heeling finals over the weekend, further proving the stallion's versatility.
“We have been saying he was different from the very beginning," said Melanie Smith, owner of Solo Select Horses who syndicated the stallion with Relentless Remuda this time last year. "Having a stallion that is a standout on one side alone is impressive in and of itself. To have a horse that can compete at the caliber he does on both sides is really special. That is a testament to what we have been saying for over a year. He has the ability to usher in a new generation of rope horses.”
The Oil Can Classic was the first show back for the bay roan stallion after a month break at the breeding barn tending to the needs of syndicate share owners. Prior to his break, The Darkk Side and Baker won the ARHFA's RodeoHouston Futurity in the heading, where he added over $11,000 to his career earnings.
The Darkk Side was ridden by Buhler in the Futurity heeling, who rode him to a 935.69 on four, marking four consecutive 230+ point runs.
